I wanted to clear one little part up. Angel is 5.5 not 4
I do not want to medicate. She wants to try her on a stimulant that starts with an F but in the ritalin family, anyone know what this is. The behavior she wants us to watch out for is too scary for me, I don't care if she wants us to start with the smallest dosage. I have watched her at home setting
THRU movies and playing quietly. Yes, she is more active than other children her age but she's Angel, that's just her personality. The doctor stated the stimulant will help her tune out everything and focus, tune everything going around her out? How will she be able to do that when she has SID as well? This all started at the IEP meeting. We took the ped along. We all were discussing how to deal with SID in the school setting. The teachers were all talking about constant movement and attention span problems, CRAP that's SID too. The doctor thinks it's more than that after the school observed her and filled out the paperwork. It just seems really strange to me that we know how to deal with her SID issues. Kimberley knows when she needs deep pressure, to swing or rock, to put on her vest just by looking at Angel and she can set thru movies, play with dolls for an hour, string beads into necklaces but she can't sit still at school. Sounds like they don't know how to deal with the SID. Kimberley told all this to the doctor who said if you don't want to medicate her on the weekends you don't have too, just on school days

Sounds to me like we are trying this to benefit the school not my daughter

Too bad, too sad for them because I'm not going to do it. Climbing down off my soapbox now.
