If you knew Angel then you would know how sweet and compassionate she is---her doc moved her dosage of celexa(takes it for her sensory integration) up because she thought she had outgrown the dosage--she became very aggressive with others at school which is not like her---shes been out of her med for 2 days now and they see the old Angel again--sweet and caring--I would rather have her wound up and sensory seeking rather than a change in who she is from some med

She had grown some and her SI was getting worse(attention span, impulsive, seeking movement)---called the ped who dropped her dosage back down to what it was before but I am considering taking her off and see how she does without it (talking with the ped first of course) or may wait till her appointment with the neuro and see what he thinks?

About a month ago we decided to trial Angel off the celexa(she was taking it for sensory integration dysfunction) she seemed to do ok without it till some last week and worse this week(she must have hit baseline and all the med has gotten out of her system)
They are having a very hard time getting her to pay attention--even with the one on one she just cant keep her mind on whats going on and falling behind in some areas---we are calling the ped tomorrow to see if she wants us to start the celexa again (we can tell Angel is trying so very hard to focus but just cant--even at home with writing the b,d etc letters backwards etc...its not that she cant do it---its she cant focus long enough to complete it correctly---they said they have 3 groups of kiddos in the classroom and Angel is actually in the middle group which is great academically---they (or us) dont wanna see her fall behind because she cant sit still long enough to focus.

We also discussed next year---MISS ANGEL is going on to grade 1 --I just love the special ed teacher that comes in to help the kids with special needs when/if they need it and so hope she gets to move along with them
she will still be in a inclusive classroom (but if she continues to have trouble focusing she will be pulled out for reading and math to a smaller group for more attention which I think is great that she can get the extra help if she needs it at that point!!)

She will also continue with ST by the school and her private ST through the summer months to work on oral motor and expressive language disorder

think thats it
