Angel will ride the special needs bus to school---someone will help her off the bus and to the gym---from there shes on her own---she has to be responsible for either getting to the cafeteria for breakfast (which wont happen) or getting to her room by herself along with her bookbag---with her impulsive behavior--no fear of strangers--and no sense of danger I am afraid of what will happen in between the bus and the classroom preemiegroup/pacing.gif ---seems an awful lot to expect out of a kindergartner to me preemiegroup/pacing.gif ---wayne spoke to the teacher about it at their meeting and she said we need to at least try to give her the benefit of being more independent---my meeting with her is the 21st--I wanna throw it out there again as a concern but dont wanna sound too pushy---just scared--Angel will walk off with anyone that tells her to come with them--shes easily distracted and will be doing everything but going to her room rolleyes.gif

just had to get that out huh.gif

Oh---I so wish I could have the van that day to follow---Wayne has to have Shawn(his son)in court wacko.gif and we only have one vehicle on the road(he has a truck he is restoring but not drivable yet)

The school isnt very hard to get into---there were plenty of times we were there last year and went un noticed till we reached her room---there is no buddy system in place---the principal promised me today she would keep an eye on her the first few days to make sure she gets to where she is suppossed to---she remembers Angels impulsive and distractabilty issues from last year and wasnt sure if she could handle getting to the room either so we -*test*-('")ed her--hope she surprises us all---I walked her to her room a few times to make sure she knew where it was---then the last time I told her to walk to her room by herself and took her bookbag with us to make sure she could handle it---very distracted---stopped to run in the library where she was run out of because of last minute painting--followed someone to the bathroom where she left her bookbag--stopped to pull a poster down off the wall that said welcome back--stopped at the water fountain to wet her hair---ran into her old classroom and started taking the names off the tables and rearranging them where she wanted them---finally stepped in and took her to where she is suppossed to go---thats when the principle(who witnessed all this) told me she would keep an eye on her a few days---comforted to know that she will do this but I think I will still be sitting on pins and needles a few days wacko.gif
I do want to give her a chance but if it doesnt work out Wayne and I are putting it in her IEP to have someone walk her to class
