I had a few episodes of high blood pressure(or at least thats what I thought at the time)I later found out the episodes of high BP were more frequent and higher than what the OB was telling me.I later found that I had pre eclampsia and the secondary reason was infection.

On June 5th I went for a regular checkup--they found protein in my urine and told me I had an infection. The OB wrote a px and sent me on my way.I started the meds as soon as I got home.
June 6th I woke up with back pains and some spotting.I called the OB who stated it was from the infection--he told me to lay down with my feet elevated and rest and continue the meds.I layed down as instructed and with nothing better to do--fell asleep--when I woke up--I went to the bathroom--more spotting and the back pains were still present.I called the OB who told me to come on in.They did an amniotic check to see if I was leaking any fluid--they told me everything was fine and sent me back home telling me to lay down, keep taking the meds and to quit worrying--they had everything under control.I called off and on all night--the back pain was getting more intense and the spotting was getting heavier--I was scared. The OB even told me at one point that I was worrying too much and to quit acting like a baby--they had checked me and I was fine.
On June 7th I woke to the same back pains and spotting.I called the OB immediately--he said he "KNEW" nothing was wrong except for the infection and to lay down and rest.Wayne was getting really upset at this point and took the phone from me.He told the OB that we are on the way--this is NOT normal. When we got there and they checked me I was already dialating. The OB sent me to the ER who sent me to labor/delivery.They started Mag and an IV.They told me they were going to transfer me to Tennesse by medflight.
By the time Med Flight got there--Angel was coming out--one foot out and one foot stuck up in the other direction--she was stuck and my back was hurting so bad I couldnt move.
They loaded me in the medflight--I was burning up so bad--they told me it was the mag.I took off my sheet,my gown, and my IV's and handed it all to the nice man sitting beside me--yes--shy little me was completly naked.Half way through the trip they had to land in a corn field(bet that farmer was none to happy)to check me--I was bleeding so bad that it was dripping onto the floor. He felt Angel's foot and told me to keep breathing.I told him when I breathed it made me want to push--so he told me to just hold my breath that we would be their shortly--lol
We landed at the hospital. The whole landing pad was full of doctors and nurses all dressed from head to toe like in ER.Everyone was giving orders for this and that to be done and rushing me up one hallway and down another to get me to OR.And yes--they had finally put cover on me so I was no longer naked.
They had to put me under and do a emergency c-section.Angel was born at 5:33 pm.She was born at 25 weeks weighing 1 pound 11.3 ounces and 12 1/4 inches long. They took me to recovery and later to my room in the ICU in the womens center. The nurse walked in and showed me a picture of my tiny little baby and said daddy was sitting with her in the NICU.She asked what we were going to name her and I said I dont know yet.She said thats one miracle baby you have there and was telling me how scared the guys on the medflight were--the medflight was called Wings. At that very second I KNEW what I was going to name my baby.My miracle baby who had come on "WINGS" would be named Angel.
